Keshet Studio begins with the text — the Torah verse, the Midrash passage, the Talmudic debate — and asks: if this moment were pure color and geometry, what would it look like on a wall?

The answer is never blue and white. It is ochre and garnet, lapis and bone, the natural pigments of the ancient Near East where these stories were born and lived and passed down, generation by generation, word by word.

Three things we

The text comes first

Every work begins with a specific passage — a Torah verse, a Midrash, a line of Talmud. Not a general theme ("Shabbat" or "peace"), but the exact words that sparked something. The art is an interpretation, not a decoration.

Color from the ancient world

The palette draws from the natural pigments of the ancient Near East — ochre, lapis, carnelian, bone. Colors that existed when these stories were first told. Never the default blue-and-white of Judaica convention.

Every piece tells you its story

Your print ships with a hand-folded card that tells you exactly which passage inspired it, and why color block art was chosen to tell it. Art you can explain to your guests. Art that starts conversations.

The Splitting

The sea did not part all at once. The Midrash tells us that only after Nachshon ben Aminadav walked in up to his neck did the waters yield. This work holds that moment: the wavering between faith and the deep, rendered in blocks of lapis and bone and storm.

When you kindle the lamps, the seven flames shall cast light toward the face of the menorah. Not backward, not outward, but forward — toward the source itself. This work explores that inward, forward light: seven geometric forms in flame-gold and deep amber, converging.

The Still Small Voice

Elijah survived wind that split mountains, earthquake, fire. Then: silence. The Talmud calls it kol d'mamah daqah — a voice of thin silence. This work renders that silence in near-total restraint: one garnet line on bone, and everything else held still.
